Gift and present ideas - for Dad
Father's Day can be an annual headache for the family, yet it needn't be. If you want to avoid the predictable DIY tool and football scarf, why not surprise your father with a fabulous flight experience? Trial flights make very memorable gifts and will be keenly remembered.
Which would Dad like most? Typical Father's Day presents or the amazing thrill of silent flight?
We suggest your father's trial flight is reserved in advance, which allows a personalised gift voucher to be produced and posted to you to arrive before Father's Day. In addition, Father's Day gift messages can also be included on the flight voucher, making it even more special.
If you're uncertain of the weather conditions, we recommend you contact the club office before leaving home to confirm that we are flying. Rain, high winds and/or poor visibility can restrict our activities.
On the day itself, please ensure attendees bring practical shoes and clothing for the trial flight(s). On a sunny day we also recommend sunglasses and hats, as there is little shade on the airfield. Those not flying are welcome at the launch point to watch the flying operations first-hand.
Finally, please try to bring a camera and/or video recorder if you want a keepsake of your father's flight - though mugs, t-shirts and other gifts are also available for sale on the day itself.
