Beginner's ground school

... and taster gliding lesson!

A ground school evening course for beginners will be run at Comberton Village College on the dates shown below as part of Comberton’s Community Education Programme. These courses are open to all comers and are a popular choice for adults or teenagers, including parent plus son/daughter wishing to learn about gliding together.

Ground school and taster gliding lessons

A gliding taster follows the ground school lessons

By the end of the course you will have an initial appreciation of flight theory and flying skills, and have practiced using a PC-based gliding simulator. The course prepares you for a taster gliding lesson at the Cambridge Gliding Centre in a dual-controlled glider under the guidance of a BGA qualified instructor.

You are welcome to bring along friends and family to watch you take off over the Cambridgeshire countryside on your taster lesson.
